"Angel" poem
ANGEL
Written & copyrighted by: Marcus (marcuskennettm)
An angelic face, a demonic visage,
Appeared one night to warn of danger.
A torturing body begat a tortured soul,
Brooding enigmatic stranger.
'They don't like me dropping in'
His true nature remained concealed.
A night and a day, a stolen kiss,
His dreadful secret revealed.
From Angel to demon he returned.
One passionate night, his soul ripped away.
Inevitable perhaps, from the first kiss,
It came, that fateful day.
A computer disk, a paperweight,
A stone demon and a sword.
The portal was opened, his blood was shed
Too late, his soul restored.
Tears of grief, a claddagh ring
Called him back from hell,
But anger at him still burned strong
No-one could she tell.
At last discovered, returned, reddemed,
Through their troubles, he left his mark.
Then, knowing what was, must never be again,
He disappeared into the dark.
