PROLOGUE: Executive Decision
Scene: The interior of the office of the President of the Hanniganites. The President is sitting at his desk. He has a visitor
Mike:
Good afternoon Mr. President. You wanted to see me?
Nick:
Yes I did, and call me Nick. As I'm sure you know, Natalie has recently left for California and may not be able to do these Frog City reminders for a little while. It could be just a week, or it might be a little longer. We'll have to see.
Mike:
I'm aware of that Mr. President. That's too bad. She did a real nice job on them.
Nick:
Please, call me Nick. She did a wonderful job on them. But we're looking for someone to fill in for a little while. We wanted someone witty and clever and amusing. But we decided to have you do it instead.
Mike:
I'm touched by your faith.
Nick:
Well, you did volunteer.
Mike:
Oh yeah! In that case, I accept. What do I need to know?
Nick:
Basically all you have to do is tell everyone the the time : Saturday at 6:30 pm Eastern, 5:30 Central, 4:30 Mountain, 3:30 Pacific.(12:30 AM Sunday Paris time) And the place: Frog City.
Mike:
Sounds simple enough, Mr. President.
Nick:
Call me Nick. Oh, and you also have to work in the frog somehow
Mike:
What frog?
Nick:
That frog sitting over there on the desk. It must figure in any announcement you make. But since this nonsense is passing for this week's reminder and I just worked in the frog, you're covered already.
Mike:
How come Natalie never mentioned the frog?
Nick:
Yeah right, like I'm gonna be able to tell her what to do.

Nick:
What was that?
Mike:
Just a little commercial interruption.
Nick:
Is that going to happen a lot? I wouldn't want the Hanniganites to be associated with any sort of sellout.
Mike:
I'm sure Karyn will be thrilled to here that. Are we done here, Nick?
Nick:
I think so. And call me Mr. President.
Episode I: All Soaped Up
Previously on All My Days of the Young Guiding Hospital: Nick, the mayor of Frog City was badly injured in a car accident and taken to Young Guiding Hospital where Doctor Lori worked feverishly to save his life. Meanwhile, evil mob kingpin Scott, having been rebuffed in his attempted hostile takeover of Frog City by Mayor Nick, ponders his next move.
Scene: A waiting room in Young Guiding Hospital. Assistant Mayor Karyn and the Mayor's sister Natalie are waiting for news. A frog sits on the table. Doctor Lori finally joins them.
Natalie:(tearfully) Doctor Lori, how is he? Will he be okay?
Doctor Lori:
We have stabilized Mayor Nick's injuries. But he is now in a coma.
Natalie:(tearfully) No, for the love of heaven, no!!
Karyn:
Is there anything we can do?
Doctor Lori:
Why is there a frog on that table?
Karyn:
Mayor Nick insists on keeping it around. I wonder how it survived the crash. Oh well, is there anything we can do for him now?
Doctor Lori:
No. All we can do now is wait. The next 24 hours will tell the story.
Karyn:
Mayor Nick picked the wrong time to get into an accident.
Police Chief Alex:(who has just entered the room) This was no accident. The brake line on Mayor Nick's car has been sabotaged.
Natalie:(tearfully) No! For the love of heaven, No!!
Doctor Lori:
Why does she keep saying that?
Karyn:
She's an actress. She's losing herself in the role. Anyway, this can only be the work of one man. Evil Mob Kingpin Scott.
Scene: the office of evil mob kingpin Scott. Scott and his attorney Ashli are in discussion.
Scott:
So, Mayor Nick still lives?
Ashli:
Yes, I'm afraid so. But his condition is very serious. He might not make it.
Scott:
Might not? I didn't have his brakes tampered with for might not. I need to be sure. With him out of the way, I'll be able to take control of the weekly Hanniganite chat which takes place every Saturday night in Frog City at 6:30 pm Eastern Time, 5:30pm Central, 4:30 Mountain, 3:30 Pacific and 12:30am Paris time.
Ashli:
Doesn't that assume somebody has control of it now? Anyway, he's in the hospital now. There's nothing we can do.
Scott:
Nothing? Oh, I don't think so. I have already done something. Nick will not see tomorrow. I have secretly slipped a bomb into his hospital room. It will go off in 30 minutes, and then I will control! Mwahahahah!
Will Mayor Nick live? Will the frog live? Can Karyn prove Evil Mob Kingpin Scott was behind the accident? Will Natalie say anything else besides "No! For the love of heaven, no!"? Will the bomb go off blowing everything to bits? Will anyone care? Tune in next time for the continuing story of All My Days of the Young Guiding Hospital.
Commercial Break: Long Live the King
Tonight's regular Frog City reminder will not be seen so we may bring you the following special presentation.
The Frog City Broadcasting Network, in conjunction with The Weekly World News and "Shooting the TV out with a thirty-eight" Productions, is proud (well semi-proud anyway) to present the Elvis Presley "All Those Freaks Were Right, I Ain't Really Dead" Comeback Special!!!!
Ladies and Gentleman, here to sing Burning Love is the King of Rock & Roll, Mr. Elvis Presley...
Lord Almighty,
I feel my temperature rising
Higher higher
It's burning through to my soul
Girl, girl, girl
You gonna set me on fire
My brain is flaming
I don't know which way to go
Your kisses lift me higher
Like the sweet song of the choir
You light my morning sky
With Burning Love
Ooh, ooh,ooh
I feel my temperature rising
Help me, I'm flaming
I must be a hundred and nine
Burning, burning, burning
And nothing can cool me
I just might turn into smoke
But I feel fine
